Exclusive: CNBC EP Gary Schreier Returning to Fox Business Network

By Brian Flood

TVNewser has learned that CNBC executive producer Gary Schreier will become the new vp of programming for Fox Business Network. This will be a homecoming for Schreier, who left Fox News after 16 years, to become the ep of CNBC’s Closing Bell back in 2012.

Before leaving, Schreier was Neil Cavuto’s executive producer at both Fox News and, later Fox Business. He joined FNC in 1996 and FBN when it launched in 2007.

Back when Schreier left FBN nearly three years ago to the day, a staffer told us, “this is a major loss for the network.” Well… he’s back.

We caught up with Schreier last year to discuss his wide-ranging career. He had some kind words for FBN hosts that he’ll be working closely with once again:

I’ve had tremendous luck in my career of working with some of the greatest professionals and journalists in news and business news. Neil Cavuto, his career speaks for itself, Maria Bartiromo, her career speaks for itself.
