By Chris Ariens

NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt wins another week in the evenings, but ABC’s World News Tonight with David Muir got within just 32,000 viewers, or less than .5 percent–the closest its gotten in 4 months. Last week the total viewer gap was 4 percent.

The CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley was the only newscast to show growth, vs. the same week last year up +3 percent in viewers. All three newscasts were down double digits in the demo: NBC was down -12 percent, ABC was down -18 percent and CBS was down -11 percent.

Because of preemptions due to Thursday Night Football, CBS’s average is based on four days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
