ABC’s World News Tonight with David Muir was the most-watched evening newscast last week while NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt continues its winning streak in the younger demo (68 of the last 69 weeks). ABC has won 7 of the 9 weeks of the 2016-17 season, giving it the lead for the first time in 18 years.
Compared to the same week last year all three newscasts lost viewers. There was extensive coverage of the terror attacks in Paris this same week last year.
Due to Thursday Night Football, Nightly News was excluded from the weekly average for that day. NBC is based on 4 days (Mon-Wed and Fri).
