For the first time in the 2008 calendar year, the evening news ratings split last week, with ABC’s World News finishing first in Total Viewers and NBC’s Nightly News finishing first in the A25-54 demo. The gap in the categories were 10,000 in Total Viewers and 60,000 in the demo.
The CBS Evening News was the only network to show gains last week, up in both categories.
The averages are based on a four-day week for ABC and CBS and a three-day week for NBC (because of the Memorial Day holiday and the NHL finals, respectively).
