The week of May 1, the CBS Evening News beat ABC’s World News Tonight for the first time in nearly five years. But the win wasn’t replicated for the week of May 8, when ABC added 400,000 viewers and CBS lost 190,000. The ABC/CBS gap stands at 510,000 total viewers and 470,000 25-54 demo viewers — “the largest advantage over CBS in a month,” ABC notes. For the week of May 8:
Total viewers: NBC: 8,500,000 / ABC: 7,710,000 / CBS: 7,200,000
25-54 rating: NBC: 2.3/10 / ABC: 2.2/9 / CBS: 1.9/8
