Evening News Ratings: Week of Dec. 4

ABC’s World News Tonight with David Muir was the most-wathched evening newscast last week and the only program to see growth in both viewers and the A25-54 demo.

Compared to the same week last year ABC was up +5 percent in viewers and up +4 percent in the demo. NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt was most-watched among younger viewers, its 77th week at No. 1, but was down vs. last year: -3 percent in viewers and down -8 percent in the demo.

In its debut week, the CBS Evening News with Jeff Glor topped 7 million total viewers, but was down year-over-year, down -7 percent in viewers and down -19 percent in the demo.

The averages for the week of Dec. 4:

  • Total Viewers: ABC: 9.530M / NBC: 8.918M / CBS: 7.069M
  • A25-54 viewers: ABC: 1.997M / NBC: 2.108M / CBS: 1.382M
