NBC Nightly News was #1 in total viewers and the 25-54 demo in the last week of 2006.
“Nightly News won each night, and attracted 9.383 million total viewers, 5% more (+415,000) than ABC ‘World News’ 8.968 million, and an impressive 28% advantage (+2,051,000) over CBS Evening News,” NBC says.
ABC notes that World News “had 1.64 million more Total Viewers than CBS, marking the eighth time in ten weeks the Total Viewing gap between the two broadcasts has exceeded 1 million.”
For the week of Dec. 26:
Total viewers: NBC: 9,380,000 / ABC: 8,970,000 / CBS: 7,330,000
25-54 demo: NBC: 2.4/8 / ABC: 2.3/8 / CBS: 2.0/7
Homes: NBC: 6.3/12 / ABC: 6.1/12 / CBS: 4.9/9
