At the end of an interview with Sen. John and Cindy McCain on Fox & Friends this morning, co-host Steve Doocy had a faux meltdown. Gretchen Carlson said, referring to Sen. McCain, “Remember he called us jerks? But then he made up for it the next time and called us patriots.” At that, McCain began laughing and said, “I think you still are [jerks].”
Doocy jumped off the couch adding, “I’m storming off the set because last time that got us a lot of publicity.”
Doocy was referring to this incident during which Brian Kilmeade also stormed off the set. And despite most reports about the Kilmeade stormage, that too was faux.
