Don’t “Get Angry,” But “Reflect The Sentiment” Of Your Column, CNN Says

FNC’s Brit Hume cited Michael Kinsley‘s statement that a CNN producer directed a guest to “get angry” before appearing on the channel last week. (Several e-mailers are guessing that the guest was Ron Brownstein, a LA Times columnist and CNN contributor.)

“A spokesperson for CNN said they never told anyone to get angry,” Hume said. Here is the network’s statement: “When we book opinion writers, we expect that their commentary will reflect the sentiment in their columns.”
