Donald Trump: ‘You Love Fox and So Do I’

By Chris Ariens

The Fox News GOP debate hangover continued on the Sunday shows as GOP front-runner Donald Trump turned up on three of them.

Pre-taped Friday, we told you about what Trump told Face the Nation’s John Dickerson, who led with the Trump interview on his show this morning.

ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, who talked live by phone with Trump 5 minutes into his show, did not bring up the debate, but rather looked ahead to tomorrow’s Iowa Caucus.

Meanwhile, Fox News Sunday’s Chris Wallace talked with Trump last night, and aired the interview :20 minutes into the show. Wallace asked:

Wallace: What do you want to say to voters in these final hours before the caucuses who may feel that you snubbed them by not showing up at the one debate to be held here in Iowa?

Trump: Well, you know, you love Fox and so do I. I get along great and have a great respect Roger Ailes, but what happened was they put out a press release…

Wallace: Wait. Wait. I don’t want to get into that. I’m just saying what do you want to say to voters who feel that you snubbed them?

Trump: Well, what I’m saying is you have to stick up for your rights. In the meantime, I raised $6 million for the veterans which very important. You have to stick up for your rights. You can’t let people do that to you. If I were running the country, I’d stick up for our country. You can’t do that, frankly. I had a very successful evening.
