Donald Trump Still an ‘Entertainer’ According to HuffPost

By Brian Flood

You may have seen Donald Trump on  the homepage of Huffington Post today. The site, which in July vowed to cover the Trump campaign in its entertainment section, says that doesn’t mean its policy has changed.

“These two items are blogs posts,” HuffPost executive blog editor Stuart Whatley told TVNewser. “HuffPost Bloggers post to the site themselves and select which vertical they would like their post to appear on. On Trump-related blog posts, if politics is selected, a blog editor manually removes the post from politics, which is what’s been done here,” Whatley added.

On the homepage of Huffington Post Politics right now you can find stories about other candidates including Marco Rubio, Hillary Clinton and Ben Carson. As for the Elections 2016 page of HuffPost, it is an auto-populated page from across the entire site with any story–from celebrities and candidates, to events and polls–tied to 2016.
