Donald Trump: ‘I’m Not a Fan of Tom Brokaw. Never Was a Fan.’

By Chris Ariens

Donald Trump doesn’t care much for Tom Brokaw, but he likes Rush Limbaugh.

TVNewser got a sneak peek at Howard Kurtz‘s interview with Trump, airing Sunday on MediaBuzz. “He really got going in response to the mounting media attacks on him, and let’s just say he didn’t hold back in slamming his critics by name,” Kurtz tells us.

When Kurtz asked Trump about NBC Newsman Tom Brokaw‘s Nightly News essay in which he called Trump’s idea to ban Muslims entering the U.S. “a dangerous proposal that overrides history, the law and the foundation of America itself,” Trump shot back: “I’m not a fan of Tom Brokaw. Never was a fan. When I did The Apprentice he came over to me and said, ‘Thank you Mr. Trump,’ because I had the big show on NBC and it was good for him and his newscast. And now all of a sudden, the first chance he gets he attacks me.”

As for conservative radio talk show hosts Rush Limbaugh and Mark Levin, Trump calls them “two great guys,” adding, “I like those two people, because they’ve been very supportive.”

“Trump grapples with serious issues in this interview,” Kurtz tells us. “From his response to what I called Vladimir Putin‘s ‘bear hug’ to his proposal to deny internet access to terrorists, he also sounds off on Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton.”

MediaBuzz airs Sunday on FNC at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.
