Did People Pay for Peterson Interview?

By Chris Ariens

Drew Peterson, the man accused in the disappearance of this fourth wife was on the Today show again this morning. And with his lawyer by his side, Matt Lauer wasn’t able to get very much out of the former cop. But as Peterson returned home from the interview, he opened up to reporters in his driveway, including Steve Brown of Fox News Channel.

At the end of a live report, Brown remarked that after speaking to reporters for about five minutes, Peterson asked the media to leave his property, but that a crew from People magazine was allowed to stay. That led anchor Jon Scott to remark, “You’ve got to wonder if some money changed hands for People to get that kind of access.”
