FNC’s Sean Hannity signed what was rumored to be a 5-year, $100 million radio contract in July, and it was announced yesterday he re-upped with Fox News Channel. With his new deals for radio, TV, books and appearances, Hannity stands to make close to $30 million a year.
But last night on Countdown, Keith Olbermann pointed to Hannity’s Tuesday night exchange with Robert Gibbs as a signal of the end. “Good evening, and welcome to the end of Sean Hannity`s career,” he teased. “Hannity, pwned by Robert Gibbs of the Obama campaign.” (Click here for “pwned” definition.)
While discussing the exchange with Rachel Maddow, Olbermann asked, “Apart from the sheer joy of the thing, was it a milestone, was it meaningless what was it?”
“I think it will become sort of a textbook, sort of an example how to win in situations like this,” said Maddow.
