TVNewser has learned CNN correspondents Veronica De La Cruz (pictured) and Jennifer Eccleston are leaving the network.
De La Cruz reports for CNN’s American Morning from the dotcom desk on stories related to the Web. She is also a substitute anchor for CNN and CNN Headline News. She was one of the founding anchors of the disbanded CNN Pipeline, now CNN.com Live. An insider confirms her contract was not renewed and she will be leaving at the end of the year.
Eccleston, based in Rome, actually parted company with CNN in August. She joined CNN from NBC News in April 2005. Eccleston reported on the war in Iraq and was part of the CNN team covering the Death of Pope John Paul II and the election of Pope Benedict XVI.
