Rather checked in at the Ritz yesterday afternoon, Tim Goodman dutifully notes. “Perhaps we’ll catch him in the lobby bar tonight,” he blogs. “Of course, Rather has been to the TV press tour many, many times, often in this same hotel. He knows that if he walks out of his room and into a crowded bar with us, we’ll give him 10 minutes of privacy, tops, before asking him about his ugly departure from CBS.”
