Dan Rather’s Contract Is Almost Up

By Brian

Dan Rather‘s time at CBS News is almost up. The former CBS Evening News anchor is now a 60 Minutes correspondent,” but “whether Rather, 74, will stay when his contract expires in August is unclear,” USAT’s Peter Johnson says.

When Johnson asked Sean McManus whether he wants Rather to stay, the CBS News president said: “If there’s a situation that makes sense for Dan and for us, of course.”

Meanwhile, Les Moonves “declines to talk about Rather’s future.” (I think we know what Les wants.)
