‘CNN’s Reach Has Never Been More Apparent’

CNN parent company Time Warner increased revenue 5 percent, to $6.6 billion, in the most recent quarter.

“CNN’s reach has never been more apparent,” said Time Warner CEO Jeff Bewkes on this morning’s earnings call. “CNN continues to build its digital presence with Great Big Story, one of many examples of how we’re innovating outside the traditional TV ecosystem.”

Bewkes cited CNN’s two record-breaking TV events: the second GOP debate in September, which was CNN’s most-watched show ever and the first democratic debate in October, the most-watched democratic primary debate ever on TV.

Time Warner also took a charge of $4 million this past quarter for the shutdown of CNN Latino.
