CNN’s Guns in America town hall special featuring President Obama and moderated by Anderson Cooper won its cable news time period last night in the A25-54 demo. With 842,000, the CNN special averaged more younger viewers than Fox News, MSNBC and HLN combined (762,000) at 8 p.m. ET.

Guns in America aired until 9:12 p.m. ET, at which point Jake Tapper picked up for post-special coverage. It too, won its time period in the demo.

Fox News Channel still had the most viewers in those time periods, during prime time, and for the total day.
