CNN’s Brooke Baldwin spent two days embedded with the U.S. Navy in the Persian Gulf, reporting from the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman and the guided missile cruiser USS Anzio. Both ships are currently involved in American efforts to fight ISIS.
Baldwin, who was on the Truman’s flight deck during F-18 flight operations–often described as one of the most dangerous places on Earth–reported on female sailors who are in the Gulf playing key roles in the war on terror.
Baldwin’s pulling double duty, anchoring New Day and CNN Newsroom, where her first extended report on the Navy’s operations will air, beginning at 2 p.m. ET.
