CNN Adds 3 GOP Town Halls With Candidates, Families

By Mark Joyella

CNN has announced a series of Republican presidential town halls, starting Monday night. Anderson Cooper will moderate the hour-long specials in New York, airing at 9 p.m. ET each night.

In each town hall, the candidate and members of the candidate’s family will take questions from Cooper and an audience of registered Republican voters.

On Monday, John Kasich will be joined by his wife Karen and daughters Reese and Emma; on Tuesday, Donald Trump will be joined by his wife Melania and children Ivanka, Eric, and Donald Jr.; and on Wednesday, Ted Cruz will be joined by his wife Heidi.

The three town halls lead up to CNN’s Democratic presidential debate in Brooklyn Thursday, featuring Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton. The debate will be moderated by Wolf Blitzer, and feature questions from CNN’s Dana Bash and NY1 host Errol Louis.
