CNN Points To Primetime HLN Increases

The first week of Headline Prime delivered a 26% ratings increase for CNN Headline News, according to Nielsen #’s.

In primetime, 8 to 11pm, HLN averaged 249,000 total viewers, a 26% bump from the prior four weeks. In the 25-54 demographic, the network averaged 84,000 viewers, a 5% increase from the prior four weeks. (These numbers are for Nielsen’s traditional primetime block, including Nancy Grace at 8pm, Prime News Tonight at 9pm, and the replay of Showbiz Tonight at 10pm. They do not include the 7pm broadcast of Showbiz Tonight.)

At 8pm, Nancy Grace averaged 355,000 total viewers, a 78% increase over the prior four-week 8pm average. The show averaged 111,000 viewers in the 25-54 demo, a 50% increase over the prior four weeks.
