Jon Friedman thinks CNN’s “Inside The Blogs” segment is half silly, half buzzworthy. D.C. bureau chief David Bohrman says the network knows it has to be careful: “If you don’t treat the blogs with respect and take them seriously, the big potential is that we could be devastated by the blogs. The bloggers are out there to comment and criticize everything.” It sounds scary!
There’s more blog coverage coming: “I would expect you’ll see a lot more of it on CNN in the coming months,” Bohrman says. “By mid-summer, we’re going to be dipping into the blogs several times a day. This is something new and different. Cable TV is largely the same during the day. I don’t mind experimenting on the air.”
