About an hour into today’s Apple event, CEO Tim Cook unveiled the long-anticipated Apple Watch. After showing off the different styles (stainless steel, anodized aluminum, 18-k gold) and getting an endorsement from Christy Turlington Burns, Cook talked about the available apps and notifications and demo’d a CNN alert during his presentation.
The Apple Watch will be available for pre-order on April 10, with shipping and availability in store, April 24. Adweek’s Sam Thielman reports on another announcement at the Apple event: HBO’s new streaming service.
