CNN Finds The Spitzer Scandal Expert

By SteveK

Glenn Garvin of the Miami Herald writes about Tony Harris‘s interview this morning with Kendall Coffey on CNN. The interview, about the Eliot Spitzer mess, left out one little detail. That Coffey, as well as being a former U.S. attorney, was himself, the subject of a juicy scandal, which led to his former-ness.

Garvin writes that in 1996, Coffey resigned after an incident involving a $900 trip to a strip club in which he bit a dancer right in the….private champagne room. (well, according to Chris Rock, the scandals are completely different).

Anyway, although no mention is made of Coffey’s past, he did speak from experience when he offered Spitzer this warning: “This is not survivable.”
