CNBC is sporting new graphics above the ticker today, and they’re a real improvement over the old ones. Here’s a before and after shot:

> Update: 2:22pm: “It’s fun to note that exactly a year to the day CNBC went through its massive graphics rehaul, its updated its graphics again,” an e-mailer says. “But the real interesting thing is that they’ve almost gone backwards in a way… the graphics seem to have toned down the “flashiness”, there’s no more “CNBC Alert” sounds, a little less “wooshing” sounds and overall they seemed to have “calmed down” a bit.”
