CNBC finally declared Mary Sue Williams the winner of the network’s first-ever Million Dollar Portfolio Challenge on Friday. (Business Week was right.)

CNBC launched an investigation after complaints of unusual trading surfaced, and the announcement of a winner was delayed for several weeks. “Several individuals were disqualified in accordance with the contest rules,” CNBC.com mentions.
