Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace says he’s sorry for cracking a joke about Kelly Clarkson’s weight.
On his radio show Friday, Mike Gallagher asked Wallace, “Have you seen Kelly Clarkson? You know the singer, Kelly Clarkson? Holy cow, did she blow up. Wallace replied, “Really? Do we want to talk about some of your friends? Kelly Clarkson’s got a lovely voice. She could stay off the deep dish pizza for a little while.”
On her blog Friday, Wallace’s Fox DC colleague Greta Van Susteren encouraged Wallace to apologize.

An apology came today.
“I sincerely apologize to Kelly Clarkson for my offensive comment. I admire her remarkable talent and that should have been the focus of any discussion about her.”
