If you’re a consistent viewer of MSNBC’s Hardball with Chris Matthews, you’ve probably been wondering where the host has been in recent days.
Steve Kornacki, a regular Matthews fill-in, told the audience for yesterday’s 7 p.m. broadcast about the status of their guy: He is presently recovering from prostate cancer surgery.
Here’s more about the state of Matthews from Kornacki:
Chris hasn’t been here for the last few nights and we wanted to let you know why.
Chris is recovering from prostate cancer surgery last week. The procedure went well but he’s taking a few days to get back into fighting shape. He’s looking forward to getting back very soon. pic.twitter.com/3ofupU3HJy
