Jenna Wolfe (far left), currently news anchor for “Weekend Today” will be named lifestyle and fitness correspondent for NBC’s “Today” show, TVNewser has learned. In addition to covering topics like health and wellness for “Today,” Wolfe has also been named NBC News National Correspondent reporting for all shows and platforms, including “NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams.”

Wolfe announced last month that she and her partner, NBC News correspondent Stephanie Gosk, are pregnant with their second child. NBC has not settled on a replacement for Wolfe on “Weekend Today.”

More: Matt Lauer made the announcement at 8:45amET. “We’re going to be seeing you a lot here. That is the good news. The bad news is you’re going to be leaving your fam on the weekend show,” said Lauer. We hear NBC will announce Wolfe’s replacement next week.
