‘CBS Sunday Morning’ Has Best Q1 in 28 Years

By Chris Ariens

“CBS Sunday Morning” has another reason to celebrate this week. A few days after earning an Emmy nomination as best morning show, the venerable “Sunday Morning” had its best first quarter since at least 1987, when people meters came along. The 90-minute Charles Osgood-hosted Sunday staple has seen viewership increases in each first quarter since 2009.

“Sunday Morning” averaged 6.21 million viewers and had 1.5 rating/08 share in the A25-54 demo for Q1 2015 making it the No. 1 Sunday morning show, topping “Good Morning America,” “Today” and all the Sunday public affairs shows.
