CBS News president David Rhodes has named Laurie Orlando senior vice president of talent strategy.

“We are thrilled Laurie will be bringing her experience and expertise in recruiting and developing some of the most promising talent in the business to CBS News,” said Rhodes in a note announcing the hire.

Orlando was most recently senior vice president of talent development and planning at ESPN. She previously worked at MSG and Fox Sports New York. She begins at CBS immediately.

Just last week, Crystal Johns stepped down as director of talent development and diversity at CBS News to take a job at Bienstock, the UTA-owned talent agency.
