Everyone loves a comeback story:

“After 2004’s Memogate, CBS News was in shambles. Its evening newscast, the perennial No. 3, was sliding further, interim anchor Bob Schieffer was talking retirement, and CBS chief Les Moonves was vowing an entire evening news makeover.

Now, for reasons that are not entirely clear, CBS News is rebounding,” Media Life Magazine says.

“Evening News is posting its highest ratings in a year, and its Sunday morning Face the Nation chat show is closer to Meet the Press than it has been in 10 years.” More…
