CBS’s Rita Braver will profile MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow tomorrow on CBS Sunday Morning.
Braver caught up with Maddow at 30 Rock and at a gun range. “I think that shooting is fun and that shooting ranges are an excellent place to both learn about guns and to freak your friends out!” Maddow, who has suffered through bouts of depression. “Just being able to identify it and then knowing that, it’s not going to be forever and that it will pass and that it will ease at some point helps.”
As for her MSNBC show, which Maddow tells Braver she sets the tone of her prime time show, which she has hosted for nearly 8 years. “I have worked with producers who expected that they would set the tone of the show and that I would follow along and that has not worked out,” she says.
