Can Nightline Turn A Profit?

Today’s Nightline-ratings-resurgence story comes from the Wall Street Journal. Sarah Ellison writes:

“Now, the big question for Nightline is can the show turn a profit? ABC yanked the program from its initial expensive Times Square studio and now produces it in the same building as ABC News, but such cuts have yet to make it profitable, according to a person familiar with the show’s finances.”

EP James Goldston says: “This show remains a work in progress. We are pleased with the progress we’ve made but by no means are we finished…”
