CNN Tonight anchor Don Lemon jokingly asked if anyone wanted to marry him. Fox News Channel’s Shannon Bream took a moment outside the Supreme Court to grab a selfie for history’s sake. MSNBC’s Thomas Roberts, who married his husband in 2012, happened to be anchoring this morning when the ruling came down. “This is amazing and I am so proud of our coverage and bottom line, my country!” Roberts tells TVNewser. The Weather Channel’s Sam Champion, married a few months after Roberts, tells TVNewser: “It’s a great day for freedom and equality. I’m thrilled to finally feel like a citizen with full and equal rights in America, the country that I was born and raised in and that my father devoted his life and service to as a United States Marine, and I’m proud for the millions of others whose love will finally be accepted in all 50 states.”

Fascinating to watch ostensibly non-ideological outlets embrace LGBT equality. Amazing to watch the journey from margins to mainstream — Christopher Hayes (@chrislhayes) June 26, 2015
Tonight, I’m going to a retirement party for my dad, who’s spent his entire career tirelessly working for justice. Fitting day to celebrate.
