By Alex Weprin

The week of April 4-10 was a fairly uneventful one, save for some end-of-week drama about a possible government shutdown.

For the cable news channels, it meant no real changes on the weekly ranking of most-viewed cable networks.

Fox News Channel placed fourth overall in primetime with 1.947M total viewers, behind only USA (WWE Raw), ESPN (The women’s NCAA Championship) and History (new episodes of “Pawn Stars”). In total day FNC placed fifth overall with 1.153M total viewers, behind Nickelodeon, Nick at Nite, Adult Swim and USA.

CNN placed 28th in primetime with 701,000 total viewers, and 26th in total day with 501,000.

MSNBC placed 22nd in primetime with 865,000 total viewers, and 28th in total day with 445,000 total viewers.

The full cable network ranker is after the jump.
