Cable Network Ranker: Q2 2016

Fox News finished Q2 2016 as the second-most-watched basic cable network, both in prime time and in total day. An NBA Playoffs-loaded TNT finished ahead of Fox News in prime time viewers, while Nickelodeon edged FNC in total day viewers. FNC finished the quarter up 23 percent in prime time and up 18 percent in total day from the same quarter a year ago.

ESPN, TBS and HGTV round out the Q2 top 5 in total prime time viewers. Adult Swim, TNT and HGTV round out the Q2 top 5 in total day viewers.

CNN finished No. 10 in prime time and No. 11 in total day viewers for the quarter, while MSNBC finished No. 14 in prime time and No. 16 in total day viewers. HLN finished No. 46 in prime time and No. 33 in total day.
