Brown Out: CNN Couldn’t Find Any Room On A 24-Hour Schedule?

By Brian

The sad e-mails about the loss of Aaron Brown continue to pour in.

> A source “close to Aaron” tells WHAC that “he is fine, even somewhat ‘liberated,’ he was NOT happy with much of what’s been going on at CNN.”

> An e-mailer says: “If ABC News in its heyday could put on two or three hours of news programming daily and find room for Peter Jennings, Ted Koppel, David Brinkley, Barbara Walters, Charlie Gibson, Diane Sawyer and Sam Donaldson, why can’t CNN, with 24 hours of alleged news programming daily, find room for Aaron Brown and Anderson Cooper? I’m just asking…”

> The Moderate Voice: “Brown distinguished himself quite well and could be a good addition to any network news staff as a commentator or reporter.”

> NY Observer, Jan. 17: Klein described Brown’s reporting on the tsunami as having “almost reached the level of literature…”
