“Brokaw Returns To Primetime”

…That’s how NBC is billing its upcoming Dateline special hosted by Tom Brokaw. “Tom Brokaw Reports: The Long War” is an “in-depth report on how America is doing on the war on terror.” The former Nightly News anchor has traveled to Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, France and Washington D.C. to interview “world leaders, intelligence experts and those personally affected by the events of Sept. 11,” and he scored the first TV interview with the new director of the CIA. Two weeks later, it’s time for another “Tom Brokaw Reports:” The first sit-down with Bob Woodward timed to the release of his new book, “The Secret Man.” It will air on Wednesday, July 6 at 9 p.m. Brokaw will also talk to Carl Bernstein and Ben Bradlee. Here’s the press release.
