Broadcasters Carry Obama Remarks on Libya

The big three networks carried audio from remarks Pres. Obama made while on vacation in Martha’s Vineyard this afternoon on the “still very fluid” situation in Libya. At 2:21pmET NBC and CBS broke in to programming with Lester Holt on NBC and Scott Pelley on CBS. Diane Sawyer broke in to ABC about two minutes later, also playing Obama’s statement in full.

The cable news networks also carried the remarks which were made on video and will be fed back later from Martha’s Vineyard.
