For the second year in a row, a video gamer has won $1 million by pitching a perfect game in MLB 2K11.

Brian Kingrey of Hammond, Louisiana, won the “Perfect Game” Challenge after shutting down the Houston Astros with Roy Halladay. He only needed three attempts and two hours to win the money.

The 25-year-old teacher is not even a baseball fan – – which makes his perfect game even more impressive.

“To be honest, I was never really into sports games,” Kingrey told the NY Post. “One night my wife and I were watching X-Play and we saw that 2K Sports was running this competition. Since I’m really into competition, I went to GameStop and picked it (MLB 2K11) up.”

Thanks to MLB 2K11, Kingrey is now a Philadelphia Phillies fan.

“It gave me a new appreciation for baseball, I’m a huge Phillies and Halladay fan now, I even watched the 19-inning game against the Reds. I’ve even joined a local softball team,” Kingrey said.
