Boston Herald: Camerota Five Years From Couric’s Chair

By SteveK

The Boston Herald’s Amy Amatangelo profiles Fox & Friends anchor Alisyn Camerota, days before the big primaries in Ohio and Texas.

Besides the rundown of fun facts and 2008 presidential election discussion, Amatangelo speculates about Camerota’s future. She predicts that in five years, Camerota will be, “being courted by CBS to host the network’s evening news.” Bold prediction.

While the current CBS Evening News anchor is in Ohio for the next two nights, Camerota will be there as well. She is moderating student debates at Ohio University, which will air during Fox & Friends tomorrow morning. She’ll also channel Frank Luntz as she leads focus groups with students.

Camerota sees this presidential race, and specifically the excitement around Sen. Barack Obama‘s candidacy, as the reason youth are more involved. “The biggest difference is that college kids are really engaged this time around,” she said in the article.
