We haven’t heard much about Bob Woodruff‘s condition for several days. Wednesday’s Detroit Free Press has this update from his older brother:
Today, Dave Woodruff, 46, is heading to Bethesda to relieve the family members who have kept a bedside vigil since his younger brother was flown to the United States on Jan. 31.
Bob Woodruff suffered a head injury, a broken rib and broken shoulder blade. Doctors have performed several surgeries, mainly cleaning wounds, but they are keeping the newsman sedated to facilitate his recovery, said the older Woodruff.
His brother is aware of what’s going on, Dave Woodruff said, but has been too groggy to handle conversation.”
