Bill O’Reilly gives a thumbs up to the film adaption of his New York Times best-seller “Killing Kennedy” which airs Sunday night on Nat Geo.

O’Reilly served as the Executive Producer of the docudrama and praised actor Rob Lowe who plays JFK.

“He’s good … very tough accent to do,” O’Reilly said on “CBS This Morning,” complimenting Lowe for getting Kennedy’s voice and body language right.

Known for his tight control over his own show, O’Reilly said he was hands off on selecting Lowe.

“I was the executive producer, but I don’t really micromanage Scott Free, which produced it. They thought he was gonna be good, so I said ‘fine. They know him better than I do.'”

Over on CNN’s “New Day,” Lowe and Chris Cuomo had a playful exchange about O’Reilly.

“Apparently, he’s on television,” Lowe joked. Cuomo fired back, “Right, and he is basically a straight line reporter not known for much outside of that.” Lowe lauded O’Reilly for being supportive and great to work with.
