Everyone expects NBC’s Today Show to benefit from the Winter Games in Torino, and now we have some proof of the Olympic effect. On Thursday (Katie Couric‘s first day in Torino), Today beat Good Morning America by 1.8 million viewers.
NBC hasn’t enjoyed a 1.8 million viewer win over ABC since the winter storm on Dec. 9, 2005, and before that, the Athens Olympics in 2004. Outside of the Olympics, it’s back to May 7, 2004…
