BBC’s Finighan: Chance To Work For CNN International “Was Just Too Good To Miss”

By Brian

TVNewser contributor Arch talked to BBC presenter Adrian Finighan about his impending move to CNN International:

“I’m really looking forward to joining the London team. I’m to be an Anchor/Reporter and will be working right across the London output. There should be plenty of variety and the chance to report on the big stories on location, so it’s my idea of the perfect job. I’m very excited about it.”

More: “After ten years at BBC World (18 years in total at the BBC), I have to admit that it’s going to quite a wrench to leave. Doubtless I’ll suffer some ‘culture shock,’ but for some time I’ve felt in need of a new challenge and at this stage in my career I want to experience another another way of doing things, a different approach to the one I’ve become used to. BBC World is going from strength to strength and it’s going to feel odd to leave just when the future for the channel, to which I’ve devoted a great chunk of my life, is at last looking so bright. But, the chance to work for the best known and most successful name in TV news was just too good to miss. It really wasn’t a difficult decision and I can’t wait to get started!”
