Barbara Walters No Longer “Going After The Tabloid Stuff”

ABC’s Barbara Walters says that she purposely did not include celebrities like Britney Spears on last night’s annual The 10 Most Fascinating People program because “I am not going after the tabloid stuff” anymore.

Reuters’ Christine Kearney reports that “after years of chasing exclusives on her old ABC newsmagazine show ’20/20,’ Walters says she is tired of trying to compete with the tide of celebrity news.”

Walters told Kearney she no longer will be part of the “week in, week out, competition for getting the next name, the next person out of rehab.”
