Viewers didn’t fill CNN’s Situation Room on its first afternoon. Here are the hourly numbers:
3pm: Shep: 1,143,000 / Wolf: 332,000 / MSNBC: 170,000
4pm: Cavuto: 829,000 / Wolf: 477,000 / MSNBC: 139,000
5pm: Gibson: 957,000 / Wolf: 422,000 / Connected: 155,000
The CNN #’s are pretty typical; ratings for the 3pm hour were down slightly from July ’05 levels, while ratings for the 4 and 5pm hours were up slightly. But we’ll have to wait for monthly averages and year-over-year comparisons before judging the show’s success…
