Michael Short becomes the second White House spokesman to resign since Anthony Scaramucci took over as Communications Director.
The Washington Post reported this morning that Scaramucci was looking to shake-up the communications team before too long. Later, Politico’s Tara Palmeri reported Scaramucci “planned to start by dismissing assistant press secretary Michael Short at a morning meeting, but that move was apparently delayed.”
Short, who has been senior assistant press secretary since January, sent a text message to reporters announcing his resignation around 12:45 p.m. ET today.
